For years I have watched characters on TV and movies carrying on fictional conversations and they never say hello at the start and they never say good-bye at the end. This is too common to be coincidental. Is there some kind of industry policy involved or is it that the industry has some fancy rationale involving the psychology of the viewer…..or some such nonsense.
